The much anticipated debut LP from this New Jersey band is certainly worth picking up. Simple melodies are slowed down, baked in the sun, medicated with corona and weed and numbed with monotony to create a sort of Sunny Afternoon Nap Pop. Call it what you like, there is a lot of this fuzzy indie low-fi being made these days, but Real Estate, though perhaps not the best choice for long late night car rides, stands out as premo stuff.
